President Elaine Nicholas, President-Elect Anh Strow and First Year Professional Chair Nick Moore from ASCLS-IL attended the ASCLS Region VI Fall Council Meeting held in Kansas City, MO on November 14-15.

This meeting is the first face-to-face meeting of Region VI leadership after the annual meeting that was held in Chicago last July. Overall, the meeting was very productive with each person present coming up with many new goals as part of Region VI Director Tim Randolph’s plan for growth in our individual states, Region VI and the national organization as a whole. Minutes from this meeting will be posted here once they are distributed.

Randolph also proposed having a multi-state and hopefully a region meeting in 2013 in which all five states could participate. Other states in Region VI that have done joint meetings find that they have a much larger turn out of vendors which has made the meetings more profitable for the states involved.

Region VI is one of ten regions that comprise constituent state societies of ASCLS. Region VI is made up of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. For more information about ASCLS Region VI, please visit the web site.
